#WeatherJunky since 19XX
In short, I'm the Weather Channel's wet dream. If the TV's on, it's likely tuned to that channel (yes, even Al Roker but I'm a tad loath to admit it publicly).
This has been a singularly spectacular year for bad weather, with storms approaching biblical categories, tropical downpours interspersed with searing drought and ungodly temps with high humidity.
We've seen heat indices in the 150's, dew points set to 'just try to get a good night's sleep' and electric bills in the stratosphere as the A/C swaps out blistering for barely tolerable.
I admit it freely: my carbon footprint is obscene and I am ... unrepentant.
But the one thing that's changed from our normal summer skyscape is the boiling cauldron of exquisite cloud formations, some I've never, ever, seen the likes of in these parts.
So let me share some of my favorites - all taken around the ole homestead.
