Here we had ice:
That left Mom to feed things. Stormin Norma first - I swear she's eating her weight in canned cat food every day. A friend on FaceBook asked: Isn't she getting a little chunky?
We have 1st breakfast, then if I get snookered (and when don't I?) she's up for 2nd breakfast. At 3pm she's a mite peckish so she gets a generous spoonful for 'supper' followed by 'dinner' when the big guy comes in for his meal.
Now, really ... you can't feed one and not the other.
Of course, the bird feeders were empty so I tippy-toed out and filled what I could open (everything had a solid coating of ice).
We go through 50 lbs of black oil sunflower seed every two weeks (doggone stuff's expensive and they don't care for the 'cheap seed'). Our grain store sells suet for 50 cents a block so that's a good deal. I tried making it once but that was an epic fail.
